It's becoming clear to political observers that libertarians are emerging as a key swing vote, if not an official party. Republicans may have won a number of close races by appealing to these libertarians, so their views on policy cannot be ignored.
Figuring out those libertarian views on immigration are therefore very important in the wake of President Barack Obama's primetime speech announcing his executive order on immigration.

(T) he Presidents executive order ... will lead to wage growth...Five million more workers will lead to wage growth? I would have flunked out of Economy 101 spouting that kind of nonsense.

Gary Johnson got 0.99% pushing open borders and fag marriage against the ultimate establishment candidates Romney and Obama.
What did Perot get bashing NAFTA instead of the NSA/fag marriage/etc.?
Immigration and Trade are bigger issues than the Losertarian issues.
To: wagglebee
Typical.
I stick by my assumption that the majority of libertarian bloggers own fur suits and wear them regularly.
Heck.. pretty much most bloggers of any persuasion.

One would think that the problem would be self-correcting within a generation or two.
I’m at a loss.

You cannot have both a libertarian nation and an open borders one. Just can’t happen.

It very well could be, bloggers are a fairly new form of pest, we might have to wait a few more years to see how resilient they are.

It’s important to distinguish between think tank libertarians and actual non -elites that are adherents of a libertarian philosophy.

I think most Libertarians are against illegal immigration in Colorado, actually they are against excessive government. It looks like an attack against those who were against the pResident and for freedom. I concur; In general I've found libertarians I know to be quite open to legal immigration (even if they want the bureaucracy involved cut way down). — In fact, I'd say that aside from the internet blogosphere
(where, let's be honest, we could find anything) I haven't seen Libertarians making a case for amnesty or non-enforcement of immigration law.

What did Perot get bashing NAFTA instead of the NSA/fag marriage/etc.? About 18%, IIRC.

Yep.
My Dad’s a legal immigrant from the Ukraine. He was Naturalized well before I was born. If I remember right, he was around 4 years old when they came over. I’ve got the docs, so I guess I could check when I get home.
Illegals have broken the law. Period. Criminal trespass, ID fraud, etc...
These are real crimes these real alien criminals are committing with real victims who deserve some kind of justice.
Any “libertarian” violating the “non-initiation of force/fraud/theft”, or making excuses for those who do, is no “libertarian” at all.
Further, the Presidents plan violates Separation of Powers in about a thousand different ways. I don’t care what legal trickery they are using to try and justify this. Impeachment and removal from Office is the least of what should happen to him. Just for this one stunt...
My dos centavos.

Libertarians can be as dangerous as democrats because you can be lulled into thinking you and they have common goals.
