Republican leaders hope to contain outrage in the ranks over Obama immigration moves

Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) winced as he listened to comments from Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) in reaction to President Obamas plans to protect undocumented immigrants from deportation.
Unfortunate, unfair, unnecessary, unwise, Graham said.
Earlier Wednesday, Bachmann, a retiring tea-party firebrand, had declared that those immigrants covered by the policies that the president would announce Thursday would become illiterate voters.
For Republicans the roiling debate over the presidents decision is not only a fight with the White House, but a test of whether they can contain some of the unhelpful passions among their swelling majorities in both chambers. The task is keeping on-message and away from the controversial and sometimes offensive comments that have traditionally hindered attempts to bolster support for the party among Hispanics.

If only it were possible to recall this disingenuous self serving POS. He'd be back singing a different tune in a heartbeat.

The bias in this article is so thick it’s impossible to address. But you can start by noting that obola’s unconstitutional amnesty is sold as “protect[ing] undocumented immigrants from deportation.”

I have not heard , nor read her words in awhile. Where is she? At last report she was in Louisiana, helping with the campaign to oust Mary Landrieu.

Yep. They get the amnesty they want and they’ll give us some meaningless theater to fool us into thinking they oppose.

One thing we are finding in California with all the new DMV centers being built to provide driver’s licenses to illegals is that there is a large portion of illegals who cannot read or write, either their native language or English. These individuals will be given a verbal test instead of a written test. (The corruption level of the interpreters is yet to be determined). So in at least one area, Bachmann is completely accurate - we do and will have millions of illiterates invading the country - illiterates who are accustomed to dictatorships and pro-union/anti-government sentiment.

Maybe a good strategy would be to register as a dem and get the hardest of the hard core leftists nominated for office. Then vote republican

Shouldn't matter how you stand on illegal immigration. This is lawlessness and destruction to the Constitution. It is the rise of Barack Jun Un.
Just because your dictator supports something you support, doesn't mean you should EVER support your dictator.
If Hispanics want a dictator, they'd better be careful about what may happen when the next dictator rises to power. By then there will be no freedom left and we all will be at the dictator's whim.
