Probably because of the ten-plus years of crosspostings of breathless WND "exclusives" on FR -- many of which that turned out to be utter nonsense or not exclusive at all.
The left has got their screwball journalism sites, the right has ours. Every once in awhile they duke it out with each other on the Internet, like the way Salon often does against WND and vice versa.
