I knew a mostly vegetarian couple (that also ate eggs) that fed their dogs a vegetarian diet. The dogs started raiding the chicken coop. They had such a feast they even stashed some dead chickens in a hole for later eating
This reminds me of one of the few still-funny Futurama jokes, where the militant vegans had a vegetarian lion that looked like a starved pitiful creature.
