Yes, the private sector would be hurt. But it would be short term pain for long term gain.

Looking back to the original tea party, the private sector was hurt also. The tea party was just the opening shot. Colonists also boycotted British goods, which no doubt hurt many merchants.

The socialists count on us going about our daily lives while they systematically destroy our constitutional republic.

I agree with the idea of some kind of strike. Possibly a targeted strike would be more effective.

Any ideas on how to respond?

how about boycott any business that does business with the government for starters?

Here is a suggestion.

Make E-Verify mandatory for you.

What I mean is only do business with companies that use E-Verify.

Landscape companies
Maid services
Home improvement etc.

There will still be plenty of illegals working for these companies even after the illegal amnesty.
