A clearer picture of the strategy Republicans in both the House and the Senate will use to stop President Barack Obamas planned executive amnesty in government funding bills is beginning to emerge.
The key point is that no matter what package emerges, there seems to be a consensus emerging among Republicans on Capitol Hill: There will be no funding for Obamas planned executive amnesty. Theres a number of different ways that can happen.
First, there could be a short-term Continuing Resolution passed that funds all of government from Dec. 11when current funding measures enduntil shortly after the newly-elect Senate GOP majority takes office in early 2015. At that point, the Senate and House Republicans would block Obamas planned immigration executive order in some fashioneither in a bill that funds all of the rest of government except for that or by splitting various Appropriations bills into different packages that separates funding the Department of Homeland Security out from the rest of government.
Another possibility is that there may be some kind of effort to cut the funding for Obamas planned executive amnesty in the lame duck session of Congress now, but that effort would likely be thwarted as one of the last acts of outgoing Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

The something in the air is not obama ... Bye obama!
What makes you say that, and why would that be the case?

Keep people in the dark as long as possible.
It also appears to be a dispute between Obama and Obama.
LOL ... I thoroughly enjoy saying this from a closed Military Base ... Bye obama! Ready Girls and Boys? Five!!!
As we are speaking out, let us also remember to pray to God that they are girded well for the fight.
Silent coup?

Wrong.
Leadership in the GOP (or as I like to call them, the DOPE, which stands for Democrats Other Party Establishment) is posturing RIGHT THIS SECOND to remove Jeff Sessions, the Amnesty Hawk, from various committees, in favor of squishes that will not oppose Obama’s Amnesty.
The DOPEs are all for Obama’s Amnesty.

18 trillion in debt. What could go wrong!?
Short Term CR would be the best bet, then fight it out next year 1 bill at a time.
My understanding is the president can use the allocated funds any way he choses. For example, Clinton did not use allocated funds to buy bullets and bombs and literally ran us out of them in eight years. He didn’t buy spare parts either, and on his last day half of the Air Force and Navy planes could not fly for want of a critical item. Instead, he used the funds on his social causes. The Marines diapered AIDS babies in Africa. I’m sure there were other uses I don’t know about. If Obama makes “immigration reform” his most important item then we can forget about the military. They will all go home unpaid.
Yes, that too!
Please God, help our country, even though we have kicked You Out if it....Please help us....AMEN.
The GOP wants amnesty as much as the Democrats do. They just have to make a semblance of an appearance of fighting it, so as to keep their base somewhat happy.
I think the GOP *knows* that shutting down the government would not destroy them like the drive-bys say it will. That’s just the excuse they’re being given to allow them to not go the defunding route.
