Us newsers would appreciate it if you Freepers would quit gloating.
God, forgive me, I hate these people so much. And not for the sake of hating, but for the sake of their wanting my slavery.
Joe Wilson was right, as if the world didn’t know already, but this just reaffirms.
What another condescending piece from a pseudo-intelligentsia hanger on.
Sorry, Cillizza, you need to go back to the drawing board on this one.
Answer these questions: How many conservative voters voted for Obama? How many Republicans in Congress voted for Grubamacare? Who rose up in 2010 and 2014 and raised h*** about the bill? Who didn't come out and vote for Romney largely because they didn't trust him on healthcare?
Seems to me that the real "stupid" people are those who voted for Obama and the Democrats in Congress who voted for the bill, whether or not they really understood what was in it.
If the shoe fits, wear it. In this case, the stupid shoe fits Democrats, not conservatives.
Uh, conservative Americans DID notice the deception in this bill. That's why no Republican voted for it.
The "stupid" voters that fell for this were ALL Democrats.
Gruber is referring to them.
I still remember some liberal dork attorney telling me how effing “brilliant” Timothy Geithner is. These criminals love to tell us how smart they are.
Rush covered this on yesterday’s program, and Cillizza still has it wrong. The reason that Gruber is “catnip” for conservatives is that his remarks prove that we were right about Obamacare all along. We weren’t fooled, and we were trying to inform people about how bad Obamacare would be. Cillizza is still a pompous jackass.
No, the country has had more than enough of this asshole and his ilk already.
It's not to late to do something about it, but that is going to require an opposition party with a majority and effective leadership in both houses of congress.
Otherwise, those who say we can't vote our way out of this might begin to have a point.
Suppose the entire Gruber situation were reversed. Imagine a Tea Party President who manages to sneak his signature legislation through via a strict party-line vote. Let’s say the legislation is about welfare reform. And what is hidden in the legislation is complicated verbiage that obscures the fact that African-Americans would no longer be eligible for welfare.
Now, a couple of years have passed, and citizens, particularly Black ones, have noticed that the legislation is not doing what it was purported to do, and that, in fact, millions of African-Americans are now hungry and homeless.
Imagine, if you will, that some enterprising citizen uncovers some video that was shot during the implementation of this law. The star of the video is a southern racist who laughs and mocks the stupidity of the public, who didn’t realize exactly what the intended outcome was.
Do you think the mainstream would cover THAT?
Rush Limbaugh responded to this article yesterday-

Am I right, Washington Post? Up high!
Either that, or you willing went along with it knowing full well it was subterfugery.
To put it in terms you might grasp, you put the scotch tape on the door to keep it from latching when closed.
Hey Chris Cillizza - we think the press is made up of a bunch of butt kissing toadies too... Thanks for being our ‘Gruber of the Day’....

The bottom line is that Gruber proved liberal voters are stupid, and those they vote for know it.
The liberals that wrote the law knew the conservatives wouldn’t be fooled, only their stupid supporters would fall for the lies.
We need to hammer that point into democrat voters heads from now until 2016, those liberals you elect think you’re stupid!
Conservatives saw thru this scam from the beginning.
Another Pajama Boy.
HuffPo outed him: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/02/05/chris-cillizza-cbo-report_n_4732997.html
I haven’t heard one valid reason why Democrats wanted to pass the law without giving opponents—or themselves for that matter-—a chance to read its provisions and debate the reality, rather than the propaganda put forward by Gruber who knew all the dirty little secrets but felt it was better to lie about its provisions in order to mislead the Congress and the American people.
Any media defenders of the ACA, the Democrats and Gruber have a big burden to overcome as to why they rolled over on their back and asked for the administration to rub their tummies.
