Sinatra often made bad decisions when he tried to go with the trending music style.

He was at his best when he was applying his own unique phrasing to a Cole Porter or Gershwin ballad with a small jazz ensemble. He would convey an intimacy that caused each listener to think he was singing to her directly!

His voice was nice, but it was his delivery that was special.

Just my humble opinion. :-)
