srael is temporarily easing its guns laws in the wake of one of the worst Palestinian attacks in the city in years, according to media reports.
“In the coming hours, I will ease restrictions on carrying weapons,” Israel’s public security minister, Yitzhak Aharonovich, said Tuesday in remarks broadcast on public radio, the AFP reported.

Israeli politicians evidently are smarter than American politicians.

Not enough. If I were Prime Minister I would allow a certain amount of bloodletting in Arab areas, until the body count reaches 500 or so. Then, a la Obama, call for “calm on both sides and an end to Arab provocation.” Then announce that for every future murdered Jew, 10,000 Arabs will be deported our of Israel, stripped of papers and never allowed to return.
Smart move.
Israel can’t afford to play politically correct games. They should permit weapons for Jewish citizens with essentially no restrictions.
They require a “basic” knowledge of Hebrew to carry a gun. That makes sense there. Most Muslim terrorists wouldn’t be able to get past that rule.

Israel is not a pro-gun country. Guns are very restricted for the rank and file citizen.
