I do *not* trust the administration, just pointing out the sequence of events that follows such a public statement. Sort of like a bunch of FEMA agents hanging out at a hotel 50 miles from the Gulf Coast after hurricane-related evacuation orders are issued - it's right out of the bureaucracy's SOP playbook.

DHS has lots of assets to throw at a situation like this, but the Federal Protective Service's (absorbed into DHS under George W. Bush, IIRC) presence is not unexpected.

Is it all an elaborate ruse, intended to catch us off-guard? We'll know soon after the hollow-points start flying.
