Solar does pay taxes when it is a power production business making profits like coal.

I don’t agree with that socialist viewpoint.

Only the grid tied ones. there are boatloads of off-grid systems, and it is too bad there are not more.

Coal: Coal taxes + “business” taxes - subsidies= net
Solar: “Business taxes” - subsidies= net

There’s an obvious difference.
