“So wrong on so many levels.”

It would be my guess that she didn’t point his tazer at him, and he’s just stating she did to justify the shooting. He didn’t have a drop gun, so he goes with the old drop tazer trick...

Think about it, she looks like she weighs 110 pounds. How’s she going to get his tazer? Sneak up on him from behind? If he back handed her he’d knock her down.

And no, I’m not going to give a LEO the benefit of the doubt... He’d need a body cam for me to buy it.

Mentally ill people can be very strong. they’re in an emotionally agitated state pretty much always and if they get agitated enough they get an adrenaline dump going and it’s fight night in the big city. Just a couple of years ago i had to take a schizophrenic off his meds down when he tried to stab my partner. the guy wasn’t much to look at, 5’ 10’’, medium build in his late fifties. It took 6 officers and a supervisor the better part of 10 minutes to get him in cuffs. he then started kicking us and we had to shackle his legs and put a hobble strap on him. All at 11:58 PM on Christmas eve. I’ve tried to be nice to you on this thread, but it is obvious to me that you just like to second guess cops. I know there are bad cops out there, and I know bad things do happen. But to have “cops are guilty unless proven innocent” as your default opinion is unhelpful in the extreme. Hell, criminals get “innocent until proven guilty”, couldn’t you extend the same standards to Law Enforcement?

Fair enough. That's why all cops should wear them.

A witness told deputies she attempted to light a truck on fire then left the scene.

Just the kind of woman you'd like to bring home to Mom huh?

I happen to have known Dawn personally as we worked together at one point and I have no doubt that it happened like the officer said. Dawn was more like a man than a woman and she didn’t have mental illness as much as a drug problem that made her act crazy. She had prior convictions for domestic battery, drug charges and burglary among others. I wasn’t surprised that she went out this way. She was good friends with two scum bags who robbed me at gun point in a series of store robberies also. She was far from an innocent person.

The police really need to start understanding how much of the country they've lost.

I had this exact conversation with a cop just a week ago. They have no idea.
