Notice he says “Jon”, not “Jonathan” , not “Professor Gruber”, not “Mr. Gruber of MIT”.
And this is from 2006, eight years ago.
Yeah, he did not know him....spit.

Not that it makes much difference but it appears that “my dear friend” is referring to someone named Jim Wallis (there is a semi-colon after Gruber’s name).
