You mean they don’t have a 2nd Amendment over there? I can’t imagine a country without a 2nd Amendment. That could never happen here in the US! Could it? s/
My daughter had to write of a scenario for a prohibition similarity between the old booze laws and something today. She picked the 2nd Amendment.
1) Would be done in the name of social responsibility.
2) Would make outlaws of generally law-abiding people.
3) Would increase the lawlessness in general due to illegal
running of the guns.
I mentioned to her that the 2nd Amendment is different than the booze, as the booze was not singled out as a specific Natural Right granted by our Creator. And that for many - booze was just booze. But guns are intrinsic to all of our other freedoms.
The trouble is, it isn’t like they will just come out and ban them. It is first a background check, then a permit, then training, then only 7 rounds, etc.
