#16 – Silver Convention: “Fly, Robin, Fly”

This was a West German studio band who hired professionals to sing their music, and it’s a good example of Euro-rock. The idea behind the genre was to have a song that could be an international hit because the words were simple and repeatable. The entire lyrics of this song consist of only six words, so it was a textbook case of how to write Euro-rock.

Oh My...the motorcycle Drill team (on BMWs) and the jerky dance motions DO NOT go with this smooth music. I know every note, as i used to play this, but never envisioned this way of looking at it! YIKES!
