Columbia, Missouri---A New York couple whose son died in Operation Desert Storm say Boone County’s decision to cover a Christian symbol on a war memorial dishonored veterans.
The Boone County Commission decided earlier this year to cover the ichthus, commonly called the “Jesus fish” but it has only recently caused public controversy.
Only two names appear on the Courthouse Plaza memorial. The Columbia Daily Tribune reports the parents of one of those sailors, U.S. Navy Lt. Patrick Connor, learned of the decision last week. They said the covering of the symbol was an affront to fundamental American beliefs.
The commission said it covered the symbol in June after Washington, D.C.-based group threatened to take legal action against governments that allow religious icons on taxpayer-owned property.

I was watching a "Will and Grace" rerun last night and Will, speaking of being gay said, "As if I had a choice."
NOW we do know that there IS NO "GAY" GENE and that anything but heterosexuality is a CHOICE.
BTW, that was my LAST "Will and Grace" viewing. I hadn't realized that there was an agenda, but there was: normalizing homosexuality.

I believe liberals will push to take away the tax status of Churches and force them back into homes, where they should have been all along. And the Church will grow because the government will condemn it, and homosexuals will report you to the authorities to try and get you arrested. Jesus said this would happen, and now, it is upon us. I kind of like where this is going. I was just thinking about starting a neighborhood bible study. the time is right
theres a real downsizing of most of the denominations in most of the nation..

Between the atheists who can’t stand a religious symbol and the Muslims who can’t stand anything about our nation and our holidays etc...I don’t recognize the country not only that I grew up in but that I served for 30 Year.. What a shame.
Go ahead. My church has about a thousand worshippers every Sunday, so I don't think home-based Bible study will suffice.

How about the Red Cross, and crosses on ambulances and emergency rooms?

This country really HATES Jesus. We’re through as a nation unless there is national repentence.
They should be honest and put an up-side-down cross on the grave site.
