Earthquakes are fascinating.

Somehow this earthquake maintained a magnitude of 4.8 throughout the State of Kansas.

Buckle your seat belts. You are likely to feel some aftershocks too. Hopefully they won’t be as strong. We here in CA are familiar with these adventures.

Only problem is the "throughout Kansas" isn't true.

I'm in NE Kansas and nothing was felt here.

When we heard about the quake on the 10:00 p.m. news, the word was it happened north and west of our home but didn't measure on any seismographic equipment.

Many people did notice the tremble, again west and north of the Metro Kansas City (MO) area but rather north and a bit west of Lawrence/Topeka, KS.
