Unless they’re operating from Latin American bases, that’s a lot of avgas to spend on an ongoing meaningless stunt. It’s not exactly going to help the case of all the pan-Slavics, Russian co-ethnics and apologists stateside.
They will need local bases to operate out of. I don’t believe the Russian Air Force has much of a long range tanker support. Plus they need to have someplace to go for routine maintenance, crew rest, weather and emergency diverts, etc.
