A tad hyperbolic, wouldn't you say? I would take a flawed president who at least loved his country over one bound and determined to destroy it at every turn.
We sure ended up benefiting from all those "principled" conservatives who stayed home last election, huh?
We have a substantial segment of participants who fashion themselves conservative purists. They sat it out with McCain and they sat it out with Romney and I'm sure that there will be those who sit it out with whomever they feel to be "inadequate" in the next go around.
It never seems to dawn on then that just about anything would have been better than what we've had while they were "standing firm" on their unbending principles.
Different strokes...different folks.
