As I said on another thread...
This morning makes the 3rd time in 3 months I have had a call from the Doc canceling scheduled treatment because Humana hasnt had time to process the paperwork.
In my entire life, one filled with medical visits/treatment I have had this problem prior to Obamacare exactly ZERO times. Nah. They arent rationing healthcare.
YAY Obamacare! I sure hope they don’t take my great coverage away!

Cruz wants to repeal Obamacare and watch Obama veto it. But what if Obama doesn’t play along? If the Senate were to repeal Obamacare and if Obama did not veto it then you would have a similar situation to the one you had when Obamacare was launched. Millions of people would suddenly be without health insurance, many of them the same people who lost their coverage when Obamacare launched, and this time instead of ignoring the problem the media would be all over it blaming it on the Republicans. And if the GOP were to come up with an alternative then how do they get it past the Democrat filibuster?
To: SoConPubbie
Cruz is just doing political posturing for his 2016 run. There are a lot of politicians calling for repeal of Obamcare and they may very well pass a repeal through both houses of Congress, but as long as Obama is there it wont be repealed as it takes a 2/3 vote in both houses to override his veto (That means 67 Senators and 290 House Members). What we need is a Republican President in 2017 to realistically expect a “Repeal” of Obamacare.

notice how every Repub ran on REPEALING Obama - ripping it out by the roots, and they have not even been sworn in yet and the leadership has already BACKTRACKED. It is a crime how the GOP uses the conservative base and the party is way past time for meeting it's demise and being replaced by a Conservative party. Not one penny from me to the GOP for the balance of my life, and of course they don't need little old me because they have the deep pockets of Sheldon Adelson supporting Rove and the boys.

The one gotcha about defunding the ACA is that it would leave a void - a set of laws would still in place that invalidated the old system without a means to legally return to the old system.
So while I applaud the sentiment, a defunding would set up a OK Corral-like showdown... one that would actually put people at risk - and you-know-who would be blamed. Short of getting Obama out of office, I'm not at all sure how the GOP should proceed.

1 Senator and something like 60% of the people want to completely repeal Obamacare. Why the disconnect?
To: SoConPubbie
I didn’t vote because nothing will change with a GOP Congress.
It will continue to fully fund the Obamacare monster and its afraid to stand up to Obama.
Why should I give away my vote for free? Its devouring this country alive and Republicans are squishes on the things that truly matter.
Not that I’m surprised.

I contend ObOzO’s only job is to read what in on TOTUS and sign what is in front of him. Maybe, Valerie will determine Obumer’s legacy will better served repealing zerOcare than forever defending it, she will put it front of zerO to sign. So, send repeal up.

But with millions of Americans enrolled in the programhogwash, most of them have 'private' insurance purchased through it, but they are not insured by it.

How about this??
Hey, A$$HOLES, We elected you REPEAL Obamacare, not try to fix an unfixable abomination.
Since the insurance companies were the big beneficiaries of this travesty, part of the TOTAL repeal law should make them take back all those whom they dropped, at their previous rates. The others who were sucked in by Obama and his minions, would be offered insurance at competitive rates. If they choose not to buy it, it is up to them. If fast food, flat screen TV's, hundred dollar sneakers, and multiple cell phones are more important, then that is up to them.
To me this sounds reasonable. Those who are truly incapable of paying should be helped. Those who chose not to have insurance are on their own.
