When Xi Jinping took the reins of a booming China two years ago, President Barack Obama saw an opportunity to remake America’s relationship with the Asian power. But even after Obama’s unusually robust efforts to forge personal ties with Xi, the two leaders are meeting in Beijing amid significant tensions, both old and new.
Xi has consolidated power since taking office, deepened China’s provocative maritime disputes with its neighbors and stands accused of continuing cyberattacks against the United States. U.S. officials have new concerns over the potential for a crackdown on pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong and are warily watching Beijing strengthen ties with Moscow as the West distances itself from Russia.
For its part, Beijing remains skeptical of Obama’s intentions in Asia, seeing his efforts to bolster U.S. economic ties in the region as a way of countering China’s rise. Obama’s domestic political weakness, particularly following the Democrats’ defeats in last week’s midterm elections, has also sparked questions in China about whether the U.S. president can deliver on potential international agreements. …

The group photo says it all. Obama is way off to one side, with the wives. Obama is a buffoon who is the laughing stock of the world’s leaders. No one is going to take him seriously.
Our current relationship with China has become that of debtor to bank, renter to landlord, borrower to lender.....and that’s the way it is.
The politicians can fantasize and claim it is mutually self beneficial and a partnership. China needs to keep loaning us billions and we need to keep borrowing billions. Or we can be convinced to blame it on anything politically that we wish, but the fact is our political leaders failed to defend the USA against economic warfare and our national security. Their mission should have been defending the USA and it became allowing globalism and global banks and corporations to pillage us while profiting at the expense of our national security.
They’ve done the same thing with our borders so that illegals can cross over at will. Most important to them is what lobbyists and special interests want, not how it benefits America.
These types of photos and body language are more meaningful than the official propaganda.

She is pretty attractive minus the chip on her shoulder attitude. I wonder, speaking on a purely attraction level, what she ever saw in Barak.
Anyway, I looked up the deal with the matching outfits. Apparently the host country gets to pick the attire for these meetings. Weird tradition.
BTW, go to drudge report and on the upper left he has all these reports of the record cold spell we are having and then a headline about Obama and global warming. Hahaha. Love it.
