Firstly, the Republicans (aided by conservative media outlets) DID put out the word about what Obamacare was going to do. Why do you think there were all those overflowing town hall meetings leading up to the 2010 election? People knew and they were outraged. Lots of Democrats even stopped holding town hall meetings because they were besieged by angry constituents who knew what was going to happen.
If you didn't know, you weren't paying attention and that's no one's fault but your own.
Secondly, the Gruber quotes I'm seeing took place recently, not during the Obamacare debate back in 2009-10. The Democrats shut the GOP out of the process and did everything in secret.
It's getting trite and tedious for everything that goes awry to be blamed on Republicans. Either blame Democrats, the real culprits, or look in the mirror.
I’m not saying that the Republicans didn’t advise us about Obamacare, We all kept up with that, most of us daily. And yes, Gruber’s comments came after 2010....2012 and 2013.
That’s what I take issue with. That information could have made a tremendous difference in the 2012 election! IT WAS NOT MENTIONED!!! What kind of party does that?
I’d like to blame the Democrats. Unfortunately, that isn’t their MOS.
Understand this. I expect my political party to try to win every election. When they fail to educate the members, time after time, I don’t consider it trite. I see it as purposeful or inept. Or both.
I’ll continue to seek the facts and look to trusted sites for information.....without blinders on.
