Put a man in uniform, preferably a white man, give him a gun, and Americans will worship him. It is a particularly childish trait, of a childlike culture, that insists on anointing all active military members and police officers as heroes.

Regardless of what you think of his argument, that article is the saddest, sophomoric conception of regurgitated, passé-progressive claptrap that I have read since 1977. Such simple thoughts! Such cliched prose! Such youth and ignorance, combined with self-entitled, self-righteousness. It should be retitled “What I learned in my sophomore poly-sci seminar”
“saddest...CONCRETION...”
Stupid auto-correct!
There, Fixed It™
Someone tell me that dividing America is a bad idea. Go ahead. Because almost 150 million people think like this to a greater or lesser degree. Then tell me we can coexist with that living next door safely.
No thanks.....I have more important things to do with my time than read drivel from that tripe spewing rag
I see. So the word “hero” (or “superhero”) should be reserved for fictional characters found in comic books who have magical powers?
I agree as well. In fact, its one of the few thing I consider "politically correct" that are conservative.
Actually, the root meaning of ‘hero’ is rather insulting in a number of ways. Who wants to be just like Achilles?
Pardon me for being unladylike...
*spit*
You freakin PUNK!
You are not worthy of the sacrifices that were made for you.
AS a PGR rider, I have helped to honor and bury so many soldiers, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM WERE HEROES!
All their hoped and dreams are gone, so that you can sit back and smear them.
They were better men than you ever THOUGHT about being,
and you know it!
We had some posters in forum who thought the same way.
AMEN!
I LOVE The Patriot Guard!
Yes, because people like the moron who wrote this actually risk paper cuts!!! in defense of our freedom.
Tell them what you really think!
“...the police officer who works tirelessly to find a missing child by placing them alongside the cops who shoot unarmed teenagers who have their hands in the air,...”
This is 2014, unfortunately American Universities continue to churn out drone after drone of eunichs like the author. The competent men created by what remains of our military appear more heroic by the day in comparison. The average competent white male like Capt. Sully are celebrated as heroes only because the public is in such great need of them.
“I see. So the word hero (or superhero) should be reserved for fictional characters found in comic books who have magical powers?”
No, in this case the author wants it reserved for Obama!
“.. insists on anointing all active military members and police officers as heroes.”
The only force in the world which can be called “peacemakers” is the American military. No political leader nor religious leader has come close.
Europe from the beginning of time was at constant war with each other. That is until after WWII and the presence of the remaining GIs has kept peace. In the far east after WWII, constantly at war before, has been at peace with the American military always on hand. All good examples that American armed forces keep the peace wherever our politicians allow them.
Now look at the Mideast, peace was at hand in Iraq and Afghanistan as long a strong American military was on hand running the show. The minute the forces of evil saw that it was to be short lived and a tame defensive posture would lead to withdrawal the enemy comes out of the woodwork and the region is aflame.
As it is, without American military force in the region it will go from one war to another. Had a sizable and active US military been kept, not regulated by the locals and loose ROE, all along, these groups would never get off the ground. Each time they stuck their nose out of a cave it would be cut off. We chose the battlefield under Bush, now the enemy will choose the next battlefield and you don’t need to guess where it will be.
>> Maybe we should have a brief moratorium on posting things from that site.....say...ten years or so.
I agree. No point serving up the thought excrement of idiots.
