Have many Experts on the 2000 page bill dissected it point by point, with 30 minutes for each expert to speak 15 minutes, then take questions for 15 minutes.
Then have a 2 page ‘Replacement’ bill ready to go, so all the good stuff Carl Rove tells them to save can be used to bring reluctant Democrats along.
The Reps are pushing the repeal of the medical device tax saying it has bipartisan support. No doubt it does, but if it gets to Obama’s desk, he will demand that another source of revenue (read tax) be identified. These various taxes were supposed to pay for Obamacare. Will the Reps support a tax increase to repeal the medical device tax? The devil is in the details.
