When you have your own so-called “party” out to make you and your life miserable, it doesn’t leave you with many options.
Ray LaHood and Obama both belong to the Combine. You see in Chicago, there is no real difference between Democrats and Republicans.

Why are people still surprised about the nature of IL pols?
I am aware of all of this in general as I have spent a lot of time in Chicago in the last fifteen years. I do wish there was a good book on the last thirty years of Illinois and Chicago that named the names and told the stories.
It would be a good read.
