With Bruce Rauner’s election in Illinois, the Republican Governor’s Association has checked this bluer-than-blue state off its Democrat tick list. It must feel good—but I’m less than sanguine.
For the better part of a year, powerful Chicago Democrats have been whispering in my ear, extolling Rauner’s virtues. I heard similar insider political “chatter” about Barack Obama from these same Democrats long before he ran for U.S. Senate. Even the left-leaning Chicago Sun-Times suddenly changed its no-endorsement policy to back Rauner — and only Rauner — without even the basic formality of a candidate questionnaire or interview.

Why don’t you just admit you were wrong to post in this thread, given that you had nothing substantive to offer. It’s fairly obvious you just like to provoke fights, and your trolling behavior just wastes everyone’s time.

Wrong. You started out by making an ignorant comment on the state of IL politics and when called out on it, you admitted you cared nothing about it. Why did you post in this thread other than to troll ? You had opportunity to admit you were wrong and apologize, but instead carrying out this bizarre tirade for days wanting to get in the last word. Stop projecting your behavior on others.
Bullshit. Your State Income Tax goes down 66% effective January 1st.
You weren't going to get that with Pat Quinn. Quinn was poised to make the "temporary" income tax hike permanent AND raise it another 33% because he, Madigan and Cullerton spent all the increased tax revenues rather than using it to pay down the debt as they promised.
Now, if you want to keep paying that 66% tax increase I can use the money. I've a son going into college and I'd appreciate your help paying for it. Freepmail me with your home address and bank checking account RTN please so we can schedule the automatic withdrawl.... ;-)

Well, there's your problem right there. The difference here is one is a Democrat (Quinn), another is a Democrat pretending to be a Republican (Rauner). That you start your tirade in defense of a phony in a thread full of people that know the situation in IL is a total charade only serves to demonstrate your ignorance. You claim you read the thread, I don't think you did otherwise you wouldn't act like an "R-bot" troll. And, after all, as you said, you don't give a damn about IL politics. Maybe you should stick to Kansas, presuming you know squat about it.
