Animal rights group PETA has slammed the Discovery Channel's 'Eaten Alive' show, which claims it will show a man being eaten alive by an anaconda, as a publicity stunt that will torment the snake.
Trailers of the show, which will be aired on Dec. 7 on the cable network, show naturalist and wildlife filmmaker and author Paul Rosolie donning a custom-built snake-proof outfit.
"I am about to be the first person that is going to be eaten alive by an anaconda," Rosalie says in the trailer as his team is shown catching a snake. "I don't expect anyone to believe us until we show it."

The two sides of this one deserve each other.
Too bad the snake had to be inconvenienced.
I’m hoping this glory hog A-hole doesn’t make it out.
How about Adam Richman eating an anaconda?
And this jerk pulling the stunt should be thrown in shark infested waters
to really give us a show. Next he'll shove a Gerbil,, nm..
I’m rarely, if ever, on PETA’s side. This stunt sounds like total jackwagon territory, though. I also have to wonder what sort of pain a full grown man in a “snake proof” suit is going to inflict on the beastie. I’ve no love for snakes, but I don’t see the point of putting any critter through something like this just for a cheap publicity stunt.
The meal has already happened and the video is in the can. They did it before PETA could find out.
The snakes natural method of operation is to first crush the victim and then swallow him. For the snake to not do this is not normal. I would really like to know what they do to the snake prior to swallowing the “victim.”
It would appear to me that Discovery Channel should no be renamed as the “Heraldo Rivera” freak show.
Finally the peta idiots might actually be useful ones.
Freakishly, he claims that he did this “for the love of snakes”.
All the hue and cry that has ensued has only served to warm the cockles of his heart, to see so many defending the snake.
Totally batsh*t crazy, knee-deep in denial.
He should go to work for Obola.
Apparently, they somehow force-fed him to the poor animal and then yanked him back out with a rope.
Just try this with a dog or cat and see what happens.
Snakes?
Not many care.
They can’t scream their agony so no one believes they actually suffer, more’s the pity.
Is it on YouTube yet? I want to see it.
I’m surprised that PETA has attempted to have those youtube videos showing boa constrictors being fed live mice and bunny rabbits banned.Pretty gruesome, actually.
Be honest call me sicko b****h I really want see this LOL!
>> Freakishly, he claims that he did this for the love of snakes.
Kind of like marriage equality... it’s all about love.
I really love my Dobes.
Think I’ll stuff a softball down Odin’s throat to show him my deep affection and see how that works out for me.
:-\
Good analogy.
Yup. I don’t agree with PITA ever, but a broke clock is right twice a day.
Believe it or not, there’s some who get exited watching something or someone get eaten.
It’s called, “Vore.” Look it up.
It’s a strange world we live in....
PETA vs man being eaten by snake for publicity?
Sounds like a case of when a-holes collide.
