Democrats are doubling down on their attacks against the Koch brothers.
Prompted by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Democrats spent millions of dollars spotlighting Republican ties to the billionaire conservative megadonors Charles and David Koch. But despite Republicans and some Democrats publicly decrying the strategy after Tuesdays GOP wave as an ineffective waste of money, Reid told allies on election night that he planned to continue hammering the brothers, according to an operative close to him. And big-money liberal groups ranging from the Democrats Senate campaign arm and House super PAC to the outfits run by billionaire Tom Steyer and conservative-turned-liberal enforcer David Brock all signaled that they intended to pursue anti-Koch spending and oppo tactics headed into the 2016 election.
Brocks American Bridge outfit on Thursday began circulating a memo to senior Democratic congressional aides and big money groups making the case for redoubling the effort to make the Kochs into boogeymen.

Let them. That will help us in 2016. We are sick of those criminal bullies that never shut up and never get charged for their crimes. Bring it on libs. People are fed up with liberals and their nastiness.
‘Dear Koch Brothers: We Aren’t Going Anywhere’

Sadly, most of the tech billionaires are left wingers, and they DO throw money at leftist candidates.
Okay, thanks.
yep
not to mention all the corporations that donate to leftist causes
LOL - I suspect the Kochs bothers won’t lose any sleep over this idiocy. And they might even be quietly pleased democrats are throwing so much money away on silly name calling...
Don’t forget the third and perhaps biggest goal:
3. To extort money for progressive (neo-fascist) political causes out of other and future billionaires with the promise that they will be left in peace if they give enough. In other words, its the Chicago way of doing politics (think Al Capone): “Pay us, and you won’t have union troubles or unexplained fires.” Buffett, Gates, Soros, Steyer, Blumberg, and many others have been playing this game with progressives for a long time. For them it is simply like buying insurance.
He's a community organizer at heart, he can't help himself. We'll have to invent a new word for 'overreach' to describe the next two years.
He'll set the RATS back 20 years.
and about half of Wall Street. They want amnesty.
That’s ok, we need somebody to walk over to keep our shoes dry.
I come from a limb of the Koch tree and over the decades I have heard it both ways. Apparently pronunciation can be anyway one prefers. Pronounced as “Kotch” reminds me of a Russian family version. Pronounced as ‘Coke’ makes me think of German roots which even some Russian migrates preferred using. My Lutheran confirmation pastor preferred the ‘coke’ sound but deferred to my parents ‘kotch’ pronunciation.
The donkeys are crazy.
WS equals Crony Krapitalists
I suppose its best I not post the obvious next one-upmanship on this trajectory....
Yep
why don’t you answer the two very simple direct questions. I mean look, you can go on in ignorance and make yourself so unhappy - a common trait among too many here on FR - or you can learn a little something, and be less unhappy.
They do have some libertarian leanings, but they are pretty doggoned close to Reagan conservatism. That should make you happy, not snotty.
The bulk of their philanthropy is nonpolitical (arts, education). One of them founded CATO which is about as pure libertarian as you can get. I would say their main focus is free markets, small government, but you can’t ignore the fact that they are pro legalization and pro gay marriage.
Soros good.
