If we’re talking about socially conservative, economically moderate Democrats, there’s at least one left: Collin Peterson of MN-07. I would also describe Henry Cuellar of TX-28 as one, although he’s not quite as conservative as Peterson. Those are the only two Democrats in Congress that I would welcome into the GOP with no questions asked; the fact that Peterson appears to be unbeatable as a Democrat in his district, and Cuellar certainly is unbeatable as a Democrat, and that both would hold their district as a Republican, is part of the equation.
McIntyre indubitably was a Blue Dog, but Rahall, Matheson and Barrow were not (with Barrow being the most liberal of the bunch).
