There’s another consideration. Any good done in the next 2 years will go down in history as happening “under the Obama administration.” Remember how Bill Clinton got all the credit for the Republican Congress’ economic reforms during his last years?
It may be best to make Obama as ineffective as possible over the next two years, and save the most popular bills for the next conservative President to sign into effect. Meanwhile, if we KNOW Obama will veto some popular bills, make sure they get to his desk, and use his veto as political fodder in 2016.
I think the best way to go is to force Obummer to veto popular legislation he doesn’t want and then make the case for a conservative Republican president in 2016.
Obama is no Bill Clinton. Love him or hate him...you have to admit BC was a political animal bent on survival at all costs...even if it meant throwing his ideology out the window. He was a great politician and triangulator.
Obama is not. He is a classic narcisistic sociopath. He is incapable of compromising his ideology because in his mind its not about meeting in the middle and taking the credit...its about the fact you are all idiots because you can't see his brilliance...and his goal is to save you from your own stupid self.
And that is why you give him keystone...medical device tax repeal...corporate tax relief....because while it makes perfect sense to you and I...it rubs against his ideology and therefore must be stopped at ALL costs...even if it costs the democrats EVERYTHING.
He is one of those people who have to be right...and he'll burn the world down to prove it.
