I'll dissagree. I think we will slow down on our journey to the abyss. I don't think the republicans have the backbone to make Obama veto 50 bills in 2 years. But if they did, it would certainly be news. It wouldn't change the direction of the country, but it might start to turn it.
Let's face it, you and I agree, if ever this country will turn and move back towards the intent of our consitutional founding, we have to change another generation, maybe two. But it started in 2009-ish from the bottom, despite the hard communist left turn the nation took with the election of Obama. In my old age, I hope to look back and have to give Obama credit to awaking the sleeping giant again. But, alas, that is still a fantasy.
Let's hope the Republican Senate can show the American people that indeed, The King has no clothes on. Illinois just elected a Republican Governor. That means either nobody in Chicago voted, or some of them voted for the Republican. I have waivered between hopless and a shimmer. Tonight I am back to a shimmer, and growing.
Bttt
I sincerely hope you are right, and I appreciate your candor. Two events are right around the corner that will shape our country forever..amnesty, which will happen in a matter of weeks, perhaps days..and on 1 Jan, 2015, o care kicks in..30 million Americans will begin to lose their healthcare.. devastating....I’m 65 now, and won’t live to see the end..or maybe I will.
