Well he did say something like, “I’ll nave those n****rs voting Democratic for the next two hundred years” when he signed the Civil Rights Act of 1965. And MLK was right behind him when he said it.

Wow. I'd heard the quote, but never heard MLK was right behind him when he said it!

Please disclose your source regarding MLKJr.

The first known record of LBJ's quote is from Ronald Kessler's book, Inside the White House: The Hidden Lives of the Modern Presidents and the Secrets of the World’s Most Powerful Institution, written in 1996, 30 years after LBJ allegedly said those words.

From what I read about Kessler's book, LBJ was onboard a jetliner with 2 Democrat politicians, I think state governors, when he supposedly made the statement. The anecdote, while sounding very earthy like LBJ, was, at best, a 2nd hand account.
