"The Tea Party has completely...ruined the Republican Party": Jon Huntsman Sr.

If the polls hold, 2014 should be a banner year for Republicans. But Jon Hunstman Sr., a self-described "lifelong Republican" and former special assistant to President Richard Nixon, is looking ahead with concern about the Grand Old Party's 2016 prospects.

"The Tea Party has completely captivated and ruined the Republican Party today and they'll show this in 2016," says Hunstman, author of Barefoot to Billionaire. "Unless a Jeb Bush comes in or John Huntsman Jr., the Republicans don't have a prayer."

...

The patriarch of the Huntsman family had a more terse reply when asked whether a 'moderate' Republican like Huntsman Jr. can win his party's nomination: "Of course not," he says.

As for Jeb Bush, Huntsman says he is "very bright and able" and "would represent the Republican party very well. But I doubt he'll be embraced too heavily by the Tea Party gang."

Yet, we say the same thing about him and his ilk.

Yeah? Except conservatives don't use *fraud* to beat RINOs in Republican primaries.

And we have conservative principles 12 months of the year, not for 4 weeks every 2 years.

Those simple-minded Tea Party people want republicans to be honest, keep their oath to uphold the US Constitution, and represent the will of the people.

Even if it means they won’t be able to stuff their own pockets with taxpayer money.

What is wrong with the Tea Party?

Don’t those people understand how things work in the big leagues?

“Asked about a hypothetical matchup between Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton, Huntsman says he “not a great handicapper” but thinks Hillary “would be a fine President.””

Tells you all you need to know about this RINO moron.

The Tea Party represents the unrepresented wage earners in flyover country with the millstone of taxes around their necks, and are fed up with the leviathan of govt robbing them to buy votes. That is a very frightening notion to the republican establishment, and the greater they perceive a threat, the louder they will squeal.

It’s definitely in need of a massive overhaul. It was tried during 2009-2012 with the ‘Tea Party’, but the GOPe co-opted, watered down the movement, and effectively killed the holdouts that refused to be co-opted.

Even if the Republicans win in a sweep, nothing really changes. Sure they’ll get their precious committee chairmanships in the Senate, but nothing good will happen. The only difference will be is legislation will die by 0bama’s pen, rather than sitting on Harry Reid’s desk.

Re-read that bit of truth and let it sink in. For that is the plain truth and stark reality we now exist in.

In fact, not only has the GOP Ruling Class told us that Obama's agenda is 'here to stay', they have told us that investigating all the criminality and injustice in Obama's regime is no longer going to be a 'priority'.

Not a damn thing is going to change with the Ruling Class Oligarchy in power. Makes no difference which party is in charge.

The Tea Party has shown the Republicans to be mealy-mouthed, spineless, unprincipled, democrats.

The only opposition party to the Big Government Party (Democrat/Republican) is the Tea Party.

Huntsman is out of touch with the voters. The Tea Party stands for religious freedom, science, fiscal responsibility, borders, language, and culture. Which of these does Huntsman not understand?

Elitists always prefer docile and tractable subjects they can count on to bow before them.

Wharton! The Beijing of North America.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while...

It occurs to me that American Politicians are in a political ‘Nirvana’ zone. The ‘electorate’ is pretty much split 50/50 between the two major political parties. Or perhaps between the ‘makers’ and the ‘takers’, Taxpayers and receivers of government ‘largess’.

What that means as a practical matter is that they, (the politicians), can now play each side against the other and get away with anything they want too. As I said Nirvana for the politicians, say anything, do anything and ultimately not be responsible because it was the other guys ‘fault.

Pretty sweet deal for them... not so much for the rest of the country though.
