Can someone please explain to me how 63%/35% in VA is “too close to call”?
There’s only 1% in
Because the heavily Democratic counties around DC haven’t reported in yet.
I just saw that, too. On Fox. Can’t figure it out. But, they have Mittens on now...so I don’t know what to think about Fox, sometimes.
Only 1% of the votes are in yet. It’s a great start, but now Gillespie has to keep it up for the remaining 99%.
Because it all depends on what precincts have been counted. There are R precincts and D precincts. You have to have a good sample of both to project based on historical voting patterns.
Some counties are heavy red and other heavy blue.
Just hope the Dem counties are not the last to report in.
That's easy. It's a small number of ballots in districts that lean GOP in every election. Wait until the numbers come in, especially when we see how many ballots were stuffed in Richmond and parts of NoVa.
Simple, not enough of the vote in. The rat areas report last, especially in the Norfolk area.
BTW, historically urban areas are the last to report there vote totals so the R never has it won until all the counting is done. And even after that Dems somehow manage to find thousands and thousands of ballots in a trunk in some city.
Easy. VA is about as easy to poll as Alaska. Meaning virtually impossible. Plus the pollsters are stupid and always rely on flawed models and urban areas to predict the unpredictable.
The culture in VA is very consensus based. Things change ona dime and when they do, they do so dramatically.
