That would be a nightmare, for sure. But if it were me, I’d reduce her to a quivering jelly long before the trial ever started. Not to get too detailed, but Lena’s story about Grace and the pebbles is false on its face. Probability says that the one time her ‘curiosity got the better of her’ was not also the one time Grace did something to herself. Lena did it.
It might take four hours of tough, merciless deposition, but eventually she’d either crack or totally lose it. With that preview of what she’d get on the stand, that would be the last of the case...guarantee it.
