"I'm the guy" - really? Amazing. The lack of understanding is that you seem to think you are defined by who you vote for; that voting for only conservatives somehow makes you more conservative than the guy who votes for a Romney (Jim Robinson anyone?).
No my friend, the way you live your life defines you. Do you really think you're more conservative than me (or JimRob) when it comes to the 2nd Amendment, abortion, or a host of other issues? I doubt it.
When I vote, I'm not picking a mate, a baby-sitter, my priest, my best friend, or my business partner. I'm picking a politician, I'm casting a vote, and in the end I'm taking a gamble. I'm gambling that the guy I pick can make a difference in moving the governance of this country in the way I would like to see it go.
Note the operative word: can
Obviously, your write-in candidates can't. They won't be elected, that can't form coalitions with elected conservative legislators. They are a protest vote - nothing more.
I don’t even know where to start. Where do you even come up with the drooling idiocy you posted above? Where? What exactly do you think standing on principle is? What purpose do you ‘feel’ it serves?
On second thought, don’t bother answering. I’m not real concerned with your amateur psycho analysis or the results you can imagine up.
PS, Jim admitted he made an error. Had a post about it a while back IIRC (and I do) Take it up with him.
