Republicans are blowing out Democrats in Colorado early voting, the secretary of State there says.
ADVERTISEMENT According to the Associated Press, 104,000 more GOP voters have taken advantage of early voting in Colorado than Democrats. Sen. Mark Udall (D-Colo.) is trailing his Republican opponent, Rep. Cory Gardner, in most polls. A loss by Udall would make it exceedingly difficult for Democrats to retain control of the Senate.
Colorados Democratic governor, John Hickenlooper, is also in a tight race as he seeks a second term. Historically Democratic voters have long been more likely to stay at home in midterm elections, and the partys base is also unhappy or disaffected with many of their leaders.
The AP said that 41 percent of the 1.1 million early ballots were from Republicans, with roughly a third coming from Democrats and a quarter from independent voters. Colorados voters are basically evenly split among the three groups.
Republicans said those results showed how strong a position they were in, after the GOP has tried to modernize its get-out-the-vote efforts on social media and other platforms.
Older voters more likely to side with the GOP have voted early in bigger numbers, and younger Republican voters have even outvoted their Democratic counterparts.

Or find them in the trash and fill out as, uh, needed? No sense in letting uncast ballots got to waste is there? LOL!
The maddening thing is, we ARE red in Colorado. It's just that so many conservatives pouted and stayed home in 2012. And the Democrats took advantage. Libs rarely pout and sit on their collective arse. They'll choose a baby step forward over a big, pouty step backward any day.
You can do either. I live near my county courthouse so I delivered mine and put it in the box myself.
My western slope rural county has seen heavy R votes compared to D.
Approximate totals as of 3 days ago:
1,300 R
700 D
700 Indy (me)
10 Libertarian, Green, American Constitution
We’re working on it. But don’t forget about Denver and Boulder, more than half the population of the state.
They’ll choose a baby step forward over a big, pouty step backward any day.
I keep hearing about term limits (for 25 years now), which requires legislation.
Congress is full of career politicians. Thery aren’t about to vote themselves out of millions of dollars of easy money, power and perks of office.
You can mail or deliver your ballot.
Tuesday is the deadline for ballots to arrive at the precincts one way or the other, that’s all.
Got your champagne ready for Tuesday night? God, I *SO* want to see these two defeated. Hickendumper even more than Udall.
Saxxon, the population of Colorado is about 5 1/2 million, so the number of people outside Denver-Boulder is actually greater than the number inside those two cities (including the Denver suburbs). I'm just hoping they get their ballots in.
Seems the idiots didn’t learn from decades ago... gun control is political suicide. I don’t live in CO, but I know a few people who do and the anger from the gun laws is still fresh... as if that weren’t enough. Contrary to my previous predictions, it looks like conservatism may still have a fighting chance
Absolutely. In fact, It should be illegal to publicly announce any election result from any other source than the chief election officer in any state. I was outraged when a Chicago Daley parachuted into Florida after the polls closed in 00, and publicly claimed that Gore had won Florida. How did he know? The Secretary of State of Florida didnt know, and a machine pol from halfway across the continent did????Florida 2000 wouldnt have been painfully close, if the results of the Florida election hadnt been announced before all voters lined up to vote in the Florida Panhandle had left the polls.
The yesterday afternoon count shows 111,000 more R voters over Dims.
Here in Colorado, in the last election, I think 10 counties had over 100% voter participation and all went for Zer0. My county was 104%. Funny how that can happen.
If you want to vote at the polling place you have to turn in your mail-in ballot before voting.
YES
AH!.. the republicans WIN the midterms...... AND..
ALL of Obamas failures and FUBAR can be blamed on THEM!...
BRILLIANT move by democrats actually..
UNLESS; they audit and then FLUSH the federal reserve..
AND start DE-funding most Executive Branch Departments..
with a view to sunseting many of them..
