This article is additional confirmation that some sensationalist journalists are still taking advantage of the fact that some people do not understand the difference between airborne (indirect) and droplet (direct) transmission. Such sensationalism sells news, but it misinforms people.

Efforts to educate people on how Ebola really spreads—through direct contact with infected bodily fluids—are making some progress. I just heard a poll last week that showed that 25% of people still do not understand how Ebola spreads, down from 37% in a previous poll.

A 1 micron droplet released from 5 feet stays airborne for 12 hours. Is that airborne enough for you?
