Russia had been heavily subsidized by IMF, WB etc. until quite recently. In late 90’s alone, when RUB collapsed, they got tens of billions.

So you think its "obvious" that American conservatives should support sending billions from the US Treasury overseas to pay Ukraine's overdue gas bill and that Russia requiring its energy customers meet their contractual legal obligations in that regard is 'blackmail'?
