It is a de facto admission to the mullahs in Tehran that the Obama administration thinks it is too late to prevent them from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Actually, the exact wording indicates that the foot-dragging was purposeful, and the purpose was to assure that it would ultimately be too late to stop Iran.

This is not incompetence, this is something far worse and they just admitted to it bald faced.
