Thursday at the Aspen Institute's "Washington Ideas Forum," MSNBC's "Hardball," host Chris Matthews said the Republicans could pick up as many as 10 Senate seats because the democrats have nothing to offer voters except running away from the unpopular leader of their party, President Barack Obama.
Matthews said, the Democrats have no message.

Well I’d be happy with 6 seats but it does appear the GOP is surging in a lot of these races.

I wonder what the margin of cheat or fraud is.....I am thinking that if 2014 is a shellacking, as was 2010, then it was fraud that got Obama his second term in 2008, for sure.
To: JudyinCanada
Make that 2012, not 2008.

Yesss!! WE won’t need Mitch anymore if we pick up 10 Senate seats. Can you imagine Cruz as the Leader of the Senate? Obama won’t know what hit him! Neither would Boehner now that I think about it.
To: Georgia Girl 2
Suppose the Republicans get to 55. A real leader would be able to pick off enough Dems up for reelection two years from now to pull together a veto proof Senate.
Oh for that leader...

The Dems want the Republicans to stay home thinking “they are gonna win so big they don’t need MY vote” ,and then Wednesday morning we find out the Dems kept it all.

While I hope his prediction is right, I suspect it’s mainly to scare the $#@& out of Democrats to get them to vote.

I doubt it would make much difference. Baraq and his new AG (whoever he/she is) wouldn’t enforce those laws that were passed.

The guy for Senate Majority Leader is Jeff Sessions.

Romney was supposed to win too. Lots of fraud.
To: Bernard Marx
Yeah... good luck with that when Democratic rallies look funereal.
That wasn’t the case 2 years ago when they were enthused, primed and motivated to vote in huge numbers.

Every reputable poll showed Romney would lose. And he did.

He didn’t happen to mention WHICH ten? I’m wondering if like all Dems he’s thinking this will be a GOP blowout, so rather than taking the ‘we’ll prevail’ approach he’d rather be seen as a seer.

Matthews is just trying to lower GOP turnout.Yup...exactly...
At best well have a 2 or 3 seat majority...
Democrats will say the because we didn't win 10 seats we have no mandate..lets go back to the 60 vote rule...
