May the best team win
I don’t mind the wild card winners making it all the way, they played better ball. But I do not like the division winners having to wait four or five days to start the playoffs. It will be interesting to see if this keeps happening. You would think burning your ace in the one game playoff would really hurt, but maybe not playing ball for four or five days evens that out. We’ll see.

I understand with the declining popularity of baseball they have to keep as many teams as possible in the hunt for a playoff spot, so I have no issue with the Wild Card, and I do like the one-game playoff.
He woke up:)
Guthrie done for the night.
Nice pitch on the strikeout.
No kidding! Awesome!
And I hate Gay Bay.
Yeah, I love that so many teams can be potentially fighting up until the end of the season and making meaningfull moves instead of coasting into off season. I just don’t dig having four or five days off for the division winners. I guess they do it that way in case there are multiple ties for the wild card and division winner spots. It’s a 162 game season that is basically played almost everyday, and relies on game speed repetition. I’m not sure burning your ace makes up for trying to stay sharp with simulated games. Of course this might not happen again for years, but we’ll see.

Here’s Madison!
Infante singles off Bumgarner.
Score?
It is 3-2 Giants in the bottom of the fifth. Royals with a man on second with one out.
Is that Chelsea Clinton behind home plate Wasserman-Schmaltz?
I have sympathy and compassion for you. I am just up the road in Toronto. I will share with you one of the Blue Jay World Series Championships.
Well, as a consolation, I AM a Yankee fan, so I guess in that regard, I have had my fill of championships. I know the Blue Jay wins were nice, but I bet that you would really like to have the Maple Leafs win the cup.
Wasn't complaining. Just asking for a win. Are you complaining?
I think we might be heading for a Game 8 here.
I was 10 when they last won in 67. All the earlier ones were before my time really. Nothing drains out the passion like a 47 year drought. I was a huge Blue Jay fan and was at all their world series games including game 6 in 93. It doesn’t get any better in team sports than to be in your home the night they win a championship. Since then they are challenging the Leafs with their own 21 year drought and I must admit I am no longer a big fan. But that goes for almost any sports or teams. I am actually surprised I am following this game since its been a number of years now I have skipped all post season baseball. There was a time I watched the world series religiously.
You were there for Joe Carter?
Yes. Upper Deck cheap seats but it was a moment for the ages for sure. The whole 9th inning was a good as it gets. Henderson and Molitor get on base and you just knew something was gonna happen. Screamed myself hoarse up there. Later went down to field level and a Phillies fan was there and I said to him well you don’t see that every day.
