I disagree. The worst case scenario is not the worst case scenario. I fully expect the Democrats to squeak out “unexpected” wins to retain the Senate. Rampant voter fraud is ignored by the media who claim that poor polling data and improving economic conditions undid the Republicans. McConnell and Boehner say that the people have spoken and bend over even more to accommodate Obama. Whatever they don’t give Obama he takes by executive action. Millions of illegals are granted amnesty by mid November. This is the worst case scenario and, sadly, most likely.

The article is predicated on what might happen if the Republicans take the Senate. So, the stated "worst case" is indeed the "worst case" where the 'pubs take the Senate. Your scenario is outside the scope of the article's subject, which would have been:
