I’m starting to think one has to be severely mentally challenged to write good music.
It does make you wonder if a skewed perspective of ‘reality’ is essential or at least irreplaceable when creating music.
Mozart has some very strange obsessions.
Mozart wrote many letter to his mother having to do with scatology i.e. farting and ‘clearing of the bowels’; activites he found to be fascinating and amusing. His mother thought these letters were ‘cute’, and wrote similar letters back in the same vein.
