He WOULD be labeled as anti-women. That is the bailiwick of politics.

I considered it once, when I was 24 years old, young and STUPID. I got over it in a few minutes.

I seriously explored running for judge a few years ago. I met with the Bexar County Republican Party chairman, we chatted, he said, “You’ve got what we want, you speak Spanish, former military, etc....I’m going to set up meetings with [two names I had never heard of before].” I asked who they were. His response: “The king-makers. If they like you, we’ll support you.”

I left, took a long, hot shower and vowed that if I ever ran for anything, it would be with my own money. My first brush with the cesspool that is party politics.
