Thurston has a delusion that his opinion matters to people outside the RINO sphere of influence. I have read numerous posts from various freepers hammering his assertions with fact. In response, the smartest man in any empty room he walks into replies with personal insults. Because he simply can’t debate. He lacks the skill. If he had it, he’s use it instead of grade school snark.

What he fails to realize is that we simply don’t care about his spin because we have facts. Facts always trump the RINO bubble of Obama supplication his heroes inhabit and he simply can’t find a way to deal with that intelligently. Thus, the snark. So he gets it in return. Only fair ;)

I have repeatedly offered to debate him on the issues in a serious manner. You see the results. Because it’s all the guy has to offer anybody.

I don't OWE my vote to any old leftist POS that the Demonrats or GOP-E care to nominate. Not to beat Hillary or Obozo or any other Demonrat. Unless and until the GOP again nominates candidates worth voting for, they will do it without my vote and without the votes of a rising vanguard on the actual Right.

Job #1 is the elimination of the privileged ruling class Republican windtunnels. They can go back to their clubs and their polo matches and their tiddlywinks tournaments and their watercress sandwiches. They won't be missed other than by the Demonrats who depend on using them as punching bags.

I, too, am sick to death of frightened and bewildered conservatives, and GOP-e bots trying to shame or bully me into voting for people I share nothing in common with, but party affiliation.

When your party finally comes to stand for NOTHING, what possible long term good can it do to give them your vote?

Even worse, when your party actively collaborates with, and quietly enables the enemies of the Republic, while furthering an agenda that is indistinguishable from theirs, how in good conscience can you POSSIBLY vote for them?

Voting RINO is equivalent to putting your shoulder to the ever leftward ratchet of big gov't statism. The movement goes in one direction only -- toward reduced liberty and ever increasing totalitarianism. Voting for such people is based in fear, and is ultimately futile, as the establishment Repukes are steering us in the same direction as the radical left -- just at a more sedate pace.

Personally, I'm done supporting such liars and swindlers. Never again. If the GOP can't find anyone other than Democrat-Lite candidates to run, then count me out. I won't vote for liberals in any guise.

I did not post to you. I did not read your post to me, beyond your infantile opening sentence.

Glad you invested that time in me. I’ll not return the favor.

What a pansy. Nobody’s bullying you, but there’s an obvious lack of security and maybe manhood to feel like you can be “bullied” on an internet forum, especially about a private activity like voting.

And now you’re gonna jump all macho with a dare that can never take place. What a joke. You’re just being a tuss.

Is that your best imitation of a bully? Geeez....

I think you’re the one who’s all wee-weed up here. I pinged you to a post where I stated that I refuse to be pushed, cajoled, shamed, or otherwise pressured into voting for RINOs ever again.

Your response to that was an asinine schoolyard taunt.

Really? Do you honestly expect me to take you seriously after that? Forget it.

If you object or disagree with the statement I made, then respond as an adult — otherwise, shut your trap.

Sanctimonious bleating is a very precise description of the of the meaning and pattern of the used food droppings of our Thurston who parts his name on the left.

I guess the real question is, what did you vote FOR in order to vote "against" Obama?

I probably should be impressed with his accomplishment but after being Senior ed at Off-road.com for several years when our monthly readership was in the 7 figure range globally, Thurston just doesn’t make me wanna go all fanboi for him. Being the #2 motorsports site behind only NASCAR might have something to do with that though.

Probably because he demands respect he hasn’t come close to earning with his crap here. His problem is opening his mouth without ever thinking the person he’s calling an idiot has accomplishments that are as much, or greater than his own.

But hey, if he wants to stick it out there, I’ll be glad to pull out the tape measure ;)

Thurston, when you respond to someone just to tell them you aren’t going to respond to waste time them, you might want to reassess something. Because you seem to misunderstand this concept as well as others posted to the thread.

I love Alan Rickman, the actor -- his sneering characters can be very entertaining, so supremely contemptuous of the "imbeciles" and inferiors they have to deal with -- like in Quigley Down Under, Galaxy Quest, Die Hard, or Robin Hood, when he snarls, "You twit!" The way he conveys his disdain for pretty much all of his fellow man is fabulous!

But CEW ain't Alan Rickman. CEW is just a plain, ordinary, ill bred lop.

CEW's problem is that he has atrociously bad manners. If his mother were here, I like to think she'd grab him by the ear, escort him to his room, and make him stay there and "think about it" until dinner. It's not CEW's opinions (many of which I agree with, by the way) that make me inclined to skip his posts -- it's his arrogant, rude, contemptuous way of expressing them.

The guy has zero class.

If Thurston had anything original to contribute to a given discussion, it might be worth overlooking his unwarranted arrogance. But having encountered his musings on threads over the years, he contributes nothing particularly insightful that any of a hundred posters of FR don’t cover in greater depth and with less attitude.

Which is summed up here perfectly
