Governor Pat Quinn is an inept victim of his own idiocy, propped up by the machine that brought you Blagojevich. The daughter of the machine leader is the Attorney General (Lisa Madigan), who just can't seem to find corruption anywhere in Illinois! Can you believe it?
Years ago Quinn was a noisy political outsider that only the (liberal) media took seriously; his claim to fame was forcing corrupt regulators onto the utilities.
He's been accused of mismanaging a slush fund; the grand jury convenes in the next few days which is hilarious because the feds have (so far) held the legislative investigators at bay.
One hopes that Obola will spend long days with Quinn; it's a sign of Quinn's desperation that he does this in spite of the risk in the polls.
