HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. The quiet murmur of several dozen Republican activists crammed in a small office in this Denver suburb was broken Saturday morning by a jocular cry: Hey, everybody, whats going on?
Rep. Cory Gardner, the partys Senate candidate and its best shot at breaking a decade-long losing streak in top Colorado races burst into the room wearing a blue-checkered work shirt and jeans, and immediately began shaking hands and posing for pictures.
Rick Murray, 69, a financial broker, shook his head in admiration. You see enthusiasm like that out of anybody else? he said.
Its an enthusiasm thats mounting as Republicans watch public polls breaking their way in the final days of a hard-fought election season in this perennial swing state. Gardner has led the Democratic incumbent, Sen. Mark Udall, in public polls in recent weeks. The partys gubernatorial nominee, former Rep. Bob Beauprez, has run neck-and-neck with the incumbent Democratic governor, John Hickenlooper.
Republican ballots are pouring in in huge numbers, Beauprez told activists Saturday. Advantage us. But now is not the time to be complacent.

That doesn't counter the long-term ground game the Rats had. They've already accomplished their objective in turning CO into a suburb of CA.
Ballot returns by party is public info across the country basically. Don’t think it should be, but there’s no legitimate purpose really not having it public.
Hey, the truth hurts.
The GOP candidates nationwide are not making the case why they should be elected.
When you don't stand for nothing and run bland, cheesy ads while your opponent is bashing your mercilessly and calling you every name in the book, you're not going to win.
ping.
It’s a concern, but it hasn’t proven to be a deciding issue elsewhere.
Yup. With Dems at least you know most of what they stand for. I couldn’t tell you what Mitch McConnell as Majority Leader is going to try to do, to say the least of accomplish, other than force Obama to nominate slightly more moderate judges.
Reasonable doubt. That's what the Democrats are doing to the voters. They're telling the voters that Republicans are going to cut this, war on women, in bed with corporations, etc. Republican candidates are playing defense and will co-opt many of the Democrat's statist goals. This in turns demoralizes the conservative base, and the swing voters will stay home or just vote for the Democrat.
I've been on this board for 15 years, and I know how this is going to play out to a tee. The Republicans are not going to win the Senate, the media will say they went "too far to the right," and the Karl Rove consultants will blame the Tea Party and fracture the party even more, and conservatives will be even more alienated and more infighting will ensue. All because Republicans can't just stick to their guns.
In 2012 the polls were pretty decidedly against Romney. Myself and others just were deluded by the party ID and the few polls showing Romney ahead.
OK, take your pessimism elsewhere.
“I ain’t afraid of no Ghosts”: Time to fight back, before it is much too late, and tell them “No Mas”!!
I should be happy and not care for the writing on the wall?
Will anything change if the Republicans take the Senate? Other than help Obola pass amnesty and expedite his cabinet/judicial vacancies, what will they do to impede his agenda?
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
No and no and no.
We know that already.
I don’t expect anything to change if the polls are correct AND the GOP does retake the Senate.
You ever heard of Ted Cruz? Or Mike Lee? or Jeff Sessions?
Go cry under the sink.
Voter fraud is high in Colorado. If Gardner by some miracle wins, then its important to look at it this way, a 2 point margin of victory means the actual victory was about 12 points.

After the Colorado grab for guns, I hope CO has awakened.
That's three people — would they be enough to rally support against the current trends, or will they simply be yelling to nobody?
Let's be honest with ourselves: nothing indicates that the Republican party would do anything to oppose the statist policies, the rampant corruption, the socialist programs, or even oppose incurring more debt and selling America's children, grand-children, and great grand-children into slavery — given all that, why should we regard a GOP win in any Senate position to be a good thing?
Nice, give Dems heads-up so they can really get in there and cheat. I actually think headlines like these are intended to warn the Dems anyway.
After Cuomo put Obama over NY, nothing would surprise me.
“Go cry under the sink”
I like that.
