I have always wondered why no one fights this. There was a situation last week in Cook County, IL, in which a Republican state representative went to vote early, used a touchscreen voting machine, voted for himself and other Republicans on the ticket, and when he checked it, votes registered for his opponent and all the Democrats. It was dismissed as a “calibration error” and I haven’t heard beans about it since.

My point has always been this: considering all the government can do to us, from taxing us to telling us what to do to sending our sons and daughters off to third world hellholes to be maimed or killed, how can anyone stand the idea the citizens can have their votes cancelled out by illegal voters, or stolen by the political machines? If it has been determined by the powers that be that elections are going to be manipulated, why have elections at all? Why call ourselves a republic? How are we any different from all of the jack-sh*t wreckages of countries that use the term but bear no resemblance in practice to what the term means?

judges are partisan hacks.

appointments and exclusivity have become a sword instead of a shield.
