Most refuse to see it. A fatal case or Normalcy Bias for what is left of the Republic.

I used to think we could but that was when I thought people still had honor.
We will just not be endorsing tyranny any more by going rural, self-sufficient, and keeping in the lowest tax brackets. I suggest anyone in a position to do so do the same. Or get ready to by saving money and embracing a simpler lifestyle.
As long as we feed the beast, it will grow.
Then, sit back and see if the rebellion starts or does fascism win.

Once upon a time, we did know that. Our experiment in government "of, by, and for the people" ended 25 years ago. Normalcy bias will probably persist until it is too late.
